Foundation
Typically, you make three types of foundations with your own hands:
- tape This is the most economical option , but is performed only for light gazebos and non-massive barbecues. Usually it is made to a depth of no more than 500 mm, reinforced with a rod with a diameter of at least 8 mm. The concrete of such a foundation must be cured for more than 28 days before erecting walls in order to dry thoroughly and gain the necessary strength.
- foundation slab. A fertile layer of soil is selected under it. A sand and gravel cushion with a thickness of about 300 mm is installed, and formwork with a height of 300 mm is installed. A reinforcing mesh is placed over the entire surface of the slab and concrete is poured to a depth of 150-200 mm. The slab gains strength in 15 days. The cost of a slab will be more expensive than a strip foundation, but you need to take into account that the slab can become the floor of a gazebo and will reduce its overall cost.
- columnar foundation. The pillars are installed at a distance of no more than 2 m from each other, without fail in the corners and at the junction of walls. In this case, a separate foundation will need to be made for the stove. The formwork for such foundations can be asbestos or metal pipes.
Glazing options
When designing a glazed gazebo with a stove, barbecue and barbecue, special attention should be paid to the glazing, because your comfort will largely depend on this. First of all, you should decide what time of year you plan to use the garden gazebo: winter or summer? - energy-saving double-glazed windows.
Warm glazing will cost more, but the benefits from such an investment will be greater - the gazebo will be warm, cozy and comfortable even in winter, especially if there is a stove. Let's take a closer look at each type of glazing, its pros, cons and application.
- Aluminum profile. This is a very popular and popular type of glazing. Although it belongs to the cold type, if a stove is installed inside the gazebo, then the conditions will be quite comfortable. In addition, the aluminum profile can be manufactured with both single glass and double-glazed windows. These structures look aesthetically pleasing, can be made in different shades (including wood or metal), are resistant to corrosion, and do not require additional reinforcement of the structure during installation. Suitable for installation on brick, metal and wooden buildings. The profile itself is very thin and compact, so it does not hide space or block the view. Many manufacturers provide mosquito nets with windows.
The big advantage is that aluminum profiles are suitable for installation on large panoramic windows.

Frameless structures (all-glass method). With frameless glazing you can create the feeling of no glass at all thanks to its special design. At the same time, the room will be reliably protected from sounds, dust, precipitation, and at the same time the feeling of unity with the surrounding greenery will be preserved. Frameless glazing is ideal for panoramic windows, and the house itself looks modern, stylish, and tasteful. Frameless designs blend harmoniously with any design style.

Soft (flexible) windows. Another cold glazing method involves attaching PVC film to the openings using straps and zippers. Using a string, we mark the working field and indicate the location of the foundation trench. The latter needs to be dug to a depth of 60 cm and with a distance from the wall to the machine of 45 - 50 cm. We fill the bottom of the trench with a layer of 30 cm and tamp it. Next comes a layer of crushed stone - 10 cm, on top of which is a layer of waterproofing. The canvas should protrude beyond the edges of the pit by no less than 15 cm.
Position of strip foundation layers
We knit a 30x20 cm reinforcing “sleeve” from a steel bar and place it in the trench. Along the edges of the latter we install formwork panels 30 cm high. Now all that remains is to pour the prepared cement mixture inside. We cover the foundation with film and leave it for about a week and a half until the final strength gains. The foundation for the furnace complex is made according to the same principle.
Please note: during construction, proper preparation for work is very important. The working area must be cleared of foreign objects, and all tools and materials that may be needed must be laid out so that everything is at hand.
Construction of a gazebo
We remove the formwork from the frozen foundation and cover it with a layer of waterproofing. Now you can start laying the brick. We work slowly, constantly checking the building level. Mix the cement in small portions, especially if the masonry is moving too slowly out of habit. In the corners where the supports will be placed, we fix the pipe cuttings: it will be easier to navigate along them during construction.

Roof construction
After bringing the supports to the required height, we proceed to install the roof. To properly secure the rafter legs, we install square pieces of timber on the supports. They are fastened using ordinary anchors. Next, we assemble the rafter system according to the drawing. The elements are fastened together with construction staples and large-diameter self-tapping screws.

We install the sheathing on the rafters. For hard types of roofing, you can make sheathing from scrap boards. But coatings such as ondulin require a flat and continuous substrate. Sheets of moisture-resistant plywood are suitable for this purpose. Next we lay the roofing material. The roof of our gazebo is ready.

Laying the furnace complex
We lay out the lower part, and start from the center - from the woodshed. This level is entirely made of ordinary brick, and the entire upper level is made of fireclay, heat-resistant brick. The chimney can be made from ordinary red brick. Now the finishing touches remain: hanging the doors and treating the wooden elements of our gazebo with antiseptic compounds. The construction of the brazier consists of 2 stages. First, the foundation is built. These can be just brick columns, but more often they lay out something like a niche of 3 walls, and then store firewood in it. The height of the pedestal depends on the design of the furnace. When laying walls, every 3rd row is reinforced with reinforcing bars. This part of the furnace can be built from any brick, even cinder blocks and silicate.

- The walls of the brazier are placed on the base. It is made from a reinforced concrete slab or, more simply, from a metal profile.

- Fireclay bricks are placed on the lintels or sheets.
- According to the order, he builds the walls of the brazier. The outer row of the building is made of red brick, the inner row is made of fireclay.
- A rim of 2 rows is placed on the front side of the roasting pan - it serves as a stand for skewers.
- The walls are raised from rows 12 to 25. Then the firebox is blocked, reducing the size of the upper hole in each row. This way they get a cap and gradually go out to the chimney.
- To improve draft, a tooth is installed in front of the chimney. This is a brick protrusion that is formed onto the back walls of the cap.
- A chimney is being erected. A cleaning hole is placed above the cap and equipped with a valve.
The height of the chimney reaches at least 2.2 m from ground level. It is recommended to block the pipe with a spark arrester. You can install a metal chimney and bring it to the roof of the gazebo.
